縁起だるま発祥のお寺。1月6日、7日のだるま市になると数十万人の参拝者で賑わいます。全国各地のだるまが展示されていて、紅葉の時期には達磨と紅葉の赤のコントラストを楽しむことができます。
Shorinzan Dharma Temple is a temple of the Őbaku school of Buddhism located in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture. The main deity is the Hokushin Chinju Reiju Son, and the temple is known as a place to pray for protection from bad luck and direction. The temple is also famous as the birthplace of the lucky Daruma doll, and holds a Daruma doll market on January 6 and 7 every year. The world-renowned architect Tadao Ando once lived at Daruma-dera Temple, and the buildings and gardens designed by him can be seen here.
