高知城 / Kochi Castle

高知城の特徴は、城の中心や本丸全体の建造物が江戸時代から残っていることにあります。天守も本丸御殿も江戸時代から残っているのは高知城のみです。 国の重要文化財公園内には、内助の功で有名な一豊の妻、千代の像や板垣退助像などもあります。城跡全域が国の史跡に指定され、県立歴史公園となっています。

Kochi Castle is the only one where both the castle tower and the Honmaru palace remain from the Edo period. In the park, which is a national important cultural property, there are statues of Chiyo, the wife of Ichitoyo who is famous for his inner help, and Itagaki Taisuke. The entire castle site is designated as a national historic site and a prefectural history park.
